Ethics can be explained as the choices people make regarding right and wrong things, actions (Paul & Elder, 2002, p. 11).
Human ethics is a complex and deep knowledge of basic human values and norms of behavior. To develop human ethics we must be sufficiently strong, as ethical standards must be followed even when others do not adhere to them. But the development of ethical principles in person promotes the formation of strong character and power of man.
Each personal is a creative being with free will, which gives him the opportunity to realize various ways and methods to improve himself. The more a person possess human qualities, the more personal power he possesses. Almost every person engaged in intellectual work understands the need for self-development and development of personal ethics. Knowledge of methods of self development allows to start and sustain this activity even if person has moderate motivation for professional growth. The basic principle of self-development is to consider all possibilities and specific resources for personal and professional development, and then look for opportunities to use these resources to develop certain skills and competencies. In general, this is the basis for self-development. (Rae 2010)
The process of self-development includes such aspects as:
1) Ability to learn from others. It is necessary to create a self install on search and development of new in various situations where there may be interesting information, useful knowledge, new experience. Management of own motivational attitudes provides a high development impact, even in the traditional meetings, seminars and more so in a specially organized forms of learning and development. An example of such a facility for self-development with the help of others is the following provision of one of the ancient teachings of Hindu philosophy: “Every other person is a guru (teacher), who can learn something useful.” (Josephson Institute 2010)

It is very important for everyone to set priorities in life – a preferential right to anything. Failure to prioritize leads to the fact that a lot of time is spent on things of secondary importance. If the person has no distinction between serious and unimportant matters, the enormous amount of time he will spend on breaking problems; and he will not have time to address the serious problems.
How best to prioritize:
– to set all tasks in a certain sequence on the importance and outline priorities, taking into account what is most important in life.
– Learn to say “no” when you want to get to do that violates your intentions, principles and plans.
– Strive when solving the problem to consider it concretely, presenting the problem in perspective.
– Make a life plan for the next few years, considering own desires, goals and priorities in perspective and think how you can reach your goals. It is possible to achieve success whe soberly assessing own strength and consistently addressing the problems. (Rae 2010)
In the end it must be said about self-discipline as an important part of self-development. Self-discipline is an internal self-willed management and control. Self-discipline teaches to respect time, both own time and time of other people, that will lead to that a person learns: not be late, to arrive on time, to start doing tasks on time and will finish them in time, to clearly bring all things to their logical conclusion. By discipline, a person can develop a regularity of actions, persistence and tenacity. The person will develop and improve memory, expand his perception, increase powers of concentration and learning. Also self-discipline teaches to respect and build commitment with people, makes the person brave, courageous and responsible.
Another aspect of development of personal ethics is to develop self-discipline that can teach person to live without fear, doubt, ambivalence and laziness. Self-discipline leads to wholeness and freedom, brings joy to life, saves a person from complexes and enhances self-esteem. In order to develop self-discipline it is necessary to realize what a person wants to change in himself and to put his own goals.
In the process of development of own ethics and self-improvement may appear different situations that prevent person to achieve results. As the result of such moments a person must develop flexibility in the correction of his actions, while carrying out the main line of his strategy. Such behavior will teach him not only flexibility, but also creativity and provide an opportunity not to follow the circumstances, but to act wisely and with ease. All these qualities will develop the ability to defuse the most intense situations and not waste time on empty problems and conflicts with people.
