NARRATIVE VERSUS DESCRIPTIVE Essay
I like to travel but I do not like to travel to large cities, crowdie places, and noisy, busy areas. In stark contrast, I prefer calm environment, where I can be closer to the nature. No wonder, the first trip to my grandfather, who lives at the shore of a lake, was a miracle for me. In fact, I did not even expect to such a beauty in the almost wild nature because I was accustomed to large, noisy, busy city, where I lived and still live. The contrast between the noisy and busy city, where I lived, and the house of my grandfather on the shore of a lake was huge. I felt as if I was on a different planet because I could hardly encounter a person in the area, whereas there were a lot of trees, bushes, and plants that grew all around and seemed to absorb the house of my grandfather. The lake was also magnificent. I remember pretty well those dawns, when I got up early in the morning and ran to the shore of the lake to see the sun rising far over the trees on the other side of the like. The reddish sky lit the forest and the lake. The water of the lake was glimmering under the bright rays of the sun, which steadily covered the entire lake and the darkness steadily faded away from the lake and from the forest around it. In fact, it was a great experience and a great time I spent there.
