How have Instagram’s privacy policies changed over the years?

I cannot but agree with the fact that the changes made in Instagram’s privacy policies have influenced each user because of the easy access to personal data. It is known that the idea to modify Instagram’s terms and conditions contributes to the promotion of advertising business to a great extent. Currently, any advertising corporation or the third-party buyer has a chance to have access to personal photographs from Instagram without consent. Undoubtedly, the reaction of millions of users was tremendous. People do not want to share their personal data, including photographs without their permission. Actually, it becomes clear that Instagram’s users are abused and their privacy rights are violated. This change in Instagram’s privacy policies means that the protection of clients’ privacy is inadequate. The company needs to introduce new features in the future to attract users. The loss of profits as a result of the loss of users has a negative impact on the company’s development and growth in the competitive market.

Are Instagram’s latest privacy policies appropriate? Why or why not?

I agree with the fact that it is important to provide an accurate definition of appropriate privacy policies, placing emphasis on virtue in this discussion. On the one hand, the decision to make changes in privacy policies as appropriate as could help to increase the company’s reputation in the industry. On the other hand, the idea to confuse the users of this social media platform was improper because of the unethical nature of their decision-making. In fact, the decision challenged Instagram’s virtue of temperance to a great extent as the CEO failed to predict the consequences of his strategy implementation. This decision led to the loss of stakeholders. For that reason, the latest privacy policies can be assessed as inappropriate as the way selected for strategy implementation was ineffective and even dangerous for business development and growth in the future.
