It is necessary to consider who should be the director of the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry Hogwarts: Lucius Melfoy or Albus Dumbledore. To resolve this issue it is necessary to consider what personality should be the director of Hogwarts, what knowledge and personal qualities he must have.
Director of Hogwarts has a lot of power and strength, he should be a strong and wise wizard who possesses great knowledge and magic experience. Here are the basic rules of the school’s charter on the activities of the Director:
– The Director is the head of Hogvarts and provides overall leadership of the School.
– The Director has the final authority on all disputed issues.
– Orders and instructions of the Director are not subject to challenge and debate and should be carried out without question.
– The Director shall have the exclusive right to change and approval of school rules.
These rules in the charter prove that Director of Hogwarts is the main and most powerful magician. But in my opinion this person first of all must be wise, to take only wise decisions. Another important characteristic is justice, meaning that he must act and take decisions only for the common good of students and the school.
If we consider the possibility of Lucius Malfoy as a head of the school, we must take a look at his personal qualities and biography. Lucius Malfoy wanted be the head of school, but he tried to achieve it only by means of deception, cunning and injustice. It is known that Malfoy was a supporter of the Dark Lord, that is, of course, speaks of him as an evil wizard, treacherous and dangerous. Relationship of Lucius with the Dark Lord and Death Eaters is a factor for which he could not be a director of Hogwarts.
Now it is necessary to consider the personality and characteristics of Albus Dumbledore. It is known that he is a very old magician. He once studied at Hogwarts, and was one of the most brilliant students , Albus liked to learn and gain new knowledge. If we talk about the personality of Dumbledore, it is very difficult to judge him as a magician. On the one hand he is very kind and sympathetic, always ready to help his students who were confused, made a mistake, or just could not find his calling. Albus Dumbledore can see all the positive features of character and quality of a person, but sometimes he does not even notice the light of evil that this same man had committed. Also, it can be said that he is very unpredictable and very original. All this speaks of him as a good headmaster.

Having considered the two personalities, Lucius Melfoy and Albus Dumbledore, having compared them as magicians it can be concluded that only Dumbledore could be a good director of Hogwarts, due to his brilliant knowledge and skills as a magician, and very positive personal qualities which are also important for the head of students. Only he could be a good Director, that he proved during years of being the head. It is better that he continued to be the head of the school, and great number of students and magicians support his candidacy as the best one.
