Essay on skills
The main purposes of this project are to identify two skills that I can adapt to my career area after graduation, and to explain the plan to increase my abilities in each of these skills.
Nowadays success in any area of life, beginning with business or public life, and ending with private life, depends on the ability to negotiate and to seek constructive solutions. Thus, the first skill is the ability to negotiate in a proper way, or negotiation skills, while the second skill is creative or innovative problem solving.
Being specific, I want to mention that negotiations skills are first of all, the ability to negotiate, i.e. to be successful in the communicative process. Moreover, the process of communication is a major business process that the person executes every day. In such a way, taking into account the fact that communication and negotiation skills are very diverse by their nature, I plan to visit specific courses for the purpose to improve my negotiation skills and to become a master of negotiation.
Thinking about creative problem solving, it is important to mention that creative work of the brain always takes place on the same circuit – consciousness is activated during the task formulation and at the final stage, when the assessment of correctness of the decision has a place. However, the search of the solution occurs at unconscious level. In such a way, for the purpose to increase my abilities in creative problem solving, I am going not only to read specific literature about the issue, but also to implement my existed skills in practice.
To sum up, I strongly believe that only practical experience will help me to develop both negotiation skills and creative problem solving, and to master the technology of their right implementation for the purpose to successfully adapt them to my career area after graduation.
