Alice Report essay
Alice is an educational software that is created to teach students to use computer programming in 3d environment. In fact, this software is very helpful for students to make their first experience in the field of computer programming using 3d environment, where students can see immediately effects of choices of certain programming statements. In such a way, Alice is a helpful program that allows creating short animated movies and teaches how to use software and computer programming. At any rate, my first experience of using Alice was fascinating for the software allowed me to make a simple and short animated movie that was easy to make and that was easy to understand how it was created.
In fact, Alice is destined for high school students, although the software may be suitable for middle school students because it is quite simple and does not need any special training or professional skills in the field of computer programming. In fact, students do not even need any experience in the field of programming. Instead, students just need follow the guidelines and use their creativity to make their own computer program and animated movie. In addition, Alice makes computer programming really interesting and fascinating. Alice is a sort of a game that will be interesting for both middle school and high school students.
In fact, the use of Alice is very easy because the software has simple interface and allows using the software even if students have little, if any, experience in computer programming. The software has simple and effective interface, where students can choose programming statements and see immediate changes that occur in their animated movie. At any rate, as I used the software, I just selected a few programming statements and observed the changes that occurred in the opened window, where the animated movie was actually created. I needed to choose the right command and delete the commands that I did not like. In fact, the choice was grounded on effects I saw in my animated movie. I just chose a command and watched the effect. If I did not like the effect, I simply deleted the command and replaced it by a new one. If I liked the command, I saved it and carried on and selected new commands to complete my short animated movie. In such a way, I have managed to create my own3d movie, although I had little experience in this field and I did not even expect that I would manage to create it so fast and easily.
Therefore, the objective of the program is to teach students computer programming in a very easy and fascinated way. In fact, Alice helps students to learn computer programming as they can observe the close cause-effect relationship between programming statements they choose and the effects of the chosen statements on their animated movie. As a result, students learn how to use computer programming and how it works in the real life. At the same time, computer programming is not too complicated for them because Alice offer them an opportunity to create their animated movie in interesting and engaging way. They use computer programming and entertain at the same time.
Thus, Alice is an effective educational software that helps students to develop basic knowledge and skills in the field of computer programming.
