The introduction of new wands in the market will need the close coordination between all departments involved in the project. Being a project manager, I would coordinate work of all departments and monitor the implementation of the project. For this purpose, the development of effective communication within the project team is essential to complete the project in time and successfully.

First of all, the operational responsibility department collects information on needs of customers and provides the hardware department with this information. The hardware and software departments should cooperate closely to develop a new wand because a wand is a combination of hardware and software. The project team should define clearly how the new wand should function and what the major goals of the project are (Perreault, Cannon & McCarthy, 2009). The hardware and software departments should define what the wand needs and design the model of the wand. As the hardware department designs the model of the wand, the software department develops software essential for the wand respectively to the model suggested by the hardware department.

The product manufacturing department should manufacture the product respectively to the design of the wand developed by hardware and software departments. The wand should be tested and introduced in the market after the promotional campaign conducted by the marketing department. The team should also fill orders from customers to manufacture the required number of wands and to deliver them to customers. Sales team will communicate with customers to provide them with detailed information on wands, their characteristics and functions.

In such a way, through the close cooperation and communication between all departments, it is possible to complete the project successfully and introduce new wands in time.
