Nowadays the issue concerning the quality of life is an actual one in our society. Some people consider that the quality of life depends on the location while others are sure that it depends upon the individual himself and upon his/her goals in life. According to the statistical data, the location is one of the key factors that influence the quality of life. Urban and rural living have a lot of distinguishing features which influence the quality of life to a great extent.
Urban living offers a great deal of opportunities to the people including high level of education, a wide range of employment options. It is easier to find a job in urban area and to get better education as there are a lot of different companies, factories and plants as well as many educational institutions which give a chance to the children to be well-educated and to find a good job. Those people who live in urban areas have a chance to take an active part in political, social and cultural events. Urban living also provides the best opportunities for pleasure which include visiting theater, movies, museums, art galleries, circus and so on.
Rural living gives a chance to avoid heavy traffic, long lines in the stores, feeling caged in the major urban complex. According to the psychological researches, rural population has true long-lasting relations as they live in small villages and deal with the same people. Moreover, rural population has a high quality environment including green landscape areas which provides fresh air to breath. Those people who live in rural areas eat only natural food without any food additives which damage human health.
